Carbon Zero Challenge

Dear Ms.Ami Shah
Greetings from Carbon Zero Challenge at IIT Madras.

January 2019 proved to be an eventful month for us. CZC conducted flagship events; CZC training bootcamp and CZC Cleantech Pitchfest during Shaastra 2019 (3-6 Jan, 2019).

CZC was showcased at a dedicated Exhibition Stall in the Shaastra exhibition area on 3, 4, 5 & 6 Jan. At the CZC stall, shaastra coordinators informed visitors about CZC initiative and conducted quizzes, games and distributed CZC merchandise.

A 2-day entrepreneurship training bootcamp was conducted for CZC 2019 finalist at IIT Madras on 3 & 4 Jan 2019 with best professionals covering modules on customer validation, go-to-market strategy, product development, cost structure, revenue models and pricing, designing business model and pitching the business.

CZC organized a CleanTech PitchFest to promote energy and environmental entrepreneurship among the young students. 10 selected teams were invited to pitch their idea to a judging panel. Three best pitch were awarded.
The keynote at the event was delivered by Padma Bhushan Dr T Ramasami – a distinguished scientist, inventor and innovator. The PitchFest included experience sharing from cleantech entrepreneurs like Ms. Ami Shah (Cofounder, Oasis Renewables and Water Treatment Ltd.), Mr. Mukundan ‘Mux’ Narasimhan (Managing Director & CEO, PlaySolar Systems Private Ltd) and Mr. Narasimhan Santhanam (Co-Founder & Director of Energy Alternatives India).

About Carbon Zero Challenge
